Subject: [USMA:29359] Metric
fittings
Here is my dilemma. We have standardized on
the use of a small metric electric motor. Heretofore, the conduit box on
the side of the motor had a 1/2-14 NPT threaded hole.
Due to a manufacturer's design change, that has been changed to
metric PG-16 threaded hole. We wire this
motor with a length of typical SO cord, using a "cord connector" or "cord
grip" to secure the cord to the conduit box. We have no idea where to go
to purchase the metric cord connectors. None of the electrical
distributors in our area stock them, nor do they know from where to order
these connectors. Can anyone give me any ideas on where we might
purchase these connectors? My so-so internet searching skills have not
turned up a vendor thus far.
Thanks a million for any help that might be
forthcoming.
