As I stated in another post, π is NOT defined as a value.  It is defined as a RATIO.  The ratio being, the ratio between the circumference and diameter of a circle, any circle.  The numeric value of π needed for a calculation is dependent only on the number of significant digits associated with the measurement taken or needed.  Nothing more.
