Just wait when the Tour de France begins. Then you will see an Imperial France; stages in miles, speeds in miles per hour, altitudes of mountains in feet and the temperature in France will be between 80 and 100 degrees Fahrenheit. At least, according to the Telegraph (and other British newspapers).

The article I posted earlier came from a British paper the Telegraph.  At first, I thought it odd that scientists in Europe would keep records of peoples heights in feet & inches.  The author's insistence on dumbing down the units to FFU may have resulted in bad info if typical conversions errors are present.
