No. It is not the number of edits that provokes an 'undo', it is the nature of the edits. Almost all your edits will persist if you keep them simple and uncontroversial. I have done hundreds of simple edits (e.g. finding non-metric values and adding the metric value in parentheses) without being undone. Do the easy stuff first.
