I'm just curious as to how people in metric countries who continue to use feet/inch for height measurements, actually do the measuring. Do they measure in centimetres, then convert? Do they have inch based tape measures and use them? Do they have someone else do the measuring and just tell them? Or do they guess?
Do the feet/inch descriptions appear on legal documents, such as drivers licenses, or are those metric? Are birth statistics and hospital records maintained in metric or in FFU? Are the people who use feet/inch also know what their height is in metres as well? What do they use for weight measurement, pounds, kilograms or something else?
