I sent this message yesterday, but I cannot find it today in my inbox with an USMA-number. Here it comes again.
I remember that many years ago I dreamt that I was in French speaking Belgium on holiday, and that all road signs were in yards and miles! A real BWMA dream!
BTW, there is a film from the Fifties, in which Sophia Loren starred, Five Miles to Midnight. French people used ifp in hat film and the road signs were exactly of the kind the BWMA wants them on the European continent in yard/m and mile/km. The title pointed at the climax of the film (I have forgotten what is was) that happed 5 miles (SIC!) from the Belgian border.
Why did they have to set the scene of this film in metric countries, I wonder.
That film would really be uplifting to the BWMA, the IAML, F2M and the ACWM!
