I remember that years ago I dreamt that I was in French speaking Belgium on holiday, and that road signs were in yards and miles!
BTW, there is a film from the Fifties, in which Sophia Loren starred, Five Miles to Midnight. French people used ifp in hat film and the road signs were exactly of the kind the BWMA wants them on the European continent in yard/m and mile/km. The title pointed at the climax of the film (I have forgotten what is was) that happed 5 miles (SIC!) from the Belgian border.
That film would do the BWMA, the IAML, F2M and the ACWM really proud!
