How many times have you read about a power station that provides "so many" megawatts per day?  Then complain to the person who made the reference that it is  just megawatts and the per day added means that many more added each day, then be told "whatever" or some other cutesy remark.   And folks those who are engineers and should know better are the worst offenders.
 
I believe many of the errors in unit use come from the sloppy nature that comes from FFU usage.

Or is this just another one of those "that's the way we've always done it so it's impossible to do it any other way" situations that really has no solid reason behind it?
