Here in Ottawa, Ontario, I saw an interesting
sign at a local Quiznos, today.
(for those that don't know, Quiznos is a
US based franchised chain of sandwich shops)

They had a sign comparing their sandwiches
to an unnamed competitor (which we all know
to be Subway).

Anyway, the sign said

Our 8" is the same as their 12"

Below this was a picture of two scales, each with
a sandwich on top. One sandwich was
8 inches long, and the other was 12 inches long.

I was happy that both scales listed the mass
of the sandwiches as 400 g, and not in ounces.

The advertisement was obviously emphasizing that
Quiznos' smaller subs had as much ingredients
as the competitor's large sub.

Still, it's another example of a blending of
SI and ifp in the same advertisement.
