When you see small gif images attached to an email it is most likely from an
email client such as Lotus Notes. These clients use stationary features
that allow users to set up various "letterheads" for their email messages.
In most systems it is there by default and most users do not realize that
they do not translate in text-based email lists.

Euric:

Your message had nine attachments, all identical, with each being a 131 byte
GIF file, called image001.gif, containing the image of a square.

Can you explain this oddity? And, to others, was I the only one who received
the attachments?
