This has to do with clothing sizes still in FFU.  If people bought clothes
by a metric sizing system they would need to know their body dimensions in
metric units and would by now be accustom to metric in stating their
heights.  The interesting thing I've been told is people do use the kilogram
for body mass and stones and pounds are gone.
