Forbes is the second general circulation magazine I'm aware of (the other being Men's Health) that is using metric in some of its articles, without providing colloquial equivalents.
In the 11 October issue, article on high-end motor homes (in this case, a $1.8M, two-story motor home), two instances. Page 282, photo caption, "Kitchen with 6 cm granite countertops" Page 282, regarding flexing of the motor home structure affecting ability to raise and lower the 2nd story: "Millimeters can make a difference in [this] business." Motor homes are kind of a merger of vehicles (mostly metric) and buildings (very little metric). Seems at least this manufacturer picked metric for his work.
