A week ago I was in a doctor's waiting room and picked up a recent copy of NG.
It had a special about Global Warming, and I can honestly say it was like
being transported back to the 1950s - temps in 'F, heights in feet, etc. etc.
When a British scientist was quoted, they had to add '(Celsius)' when he
mentioned a change of a few degrees. Unbelievable. Even 30 years ago when I
was an undergraduate, the British New Scientist was completely SI, as was the
Geographical magazine.
