On my last visit to a clinic recently (I am in the US), I was asked for my height and weight and I gave them in centimetres and kilograms. When the receptionist asked what that was in inches and pounds, I told her I don't know (and I truly do not). She wrote down the height and weight in metric on a scratch pad and said she'd figure it out later.
