Perhaps a better response to Euric's
assertion would be, "In what respect?" If he has a point, that will draw it
out.
I remember a junior manager (though not
junior in age) in a supermarket telling me, "I don't understand metric." It's
possible he thought it was just a different way of structuring weights and
measures and didn't really know it used different units. Sometimes it's
hard to understand the sheer depth of ignorance involved in opposing the metric
system.
