As far as UK law is concerned, we discussed business to business transactions on the UKMA mailing list. If I remember rightly, our discussion was prompted by somebody seeing non-metric units used in the wholesale of natural gas in the UK. I think we established that such transactions are not regulated. It is only transactions involving consumers that are regulated. As Chris says, I expect that Tesco wholesale food transactions are all metric. But it is not a UK legal requirement, as I understand it.
