I think its probably a good time to enthuse everyone here to donate money to
the charities involved in either �'s or $'s (it really doesn't matter).
Its amazing how generous people have been so far.

My heart and money go out to them, too. While the following is minor
compared to what they went through, I once had my car almost swept away by
high water, with me in it. Two "angels" from a nearby 7-11 rescued both car
and driver.
Sorry if the juxtaposition of measurement and sadness offended you, and I
didn't intend it to be cold. I just noticed the units in the article, which
is still an unusual practice for the Associated Press, and had to comment.
