No it isn't. UK roads (as with all civil engineering) have been designed in metric for decades - at least since the 60s. The town where I was born produced radical development planes in the mid-60s - all metric. Nothing to do with the EU. -- Chris KEENAN UK Metric Assoc.: metric.org.uk
