Was watching CBS's Sunday Morning show this morning and they had a segment on nanotechnology. The science reporter tried to explain how small that was by starting with the fact that he was about 2 m tall, and then scaling that down to the nano range, with about 2 nanometers being the distance across a DNA chain. I admit that I was impressed, as usually they dumb down such things! I also noticed that the scientists they talked to, used metric units as well, but that is often expected, as they might be hard pressed to express nanotechnology in non-metric units. Don
