I would suspect it depends on what you are selling and where most your customers are. If the dimensions are incidental (e.g., used books) it probably won't matter even in the US. On the other hand, if the dimensions are very important (e.g., framed pictures), it might lower your response in the US. But, I'm no eBay expert, so others might have more informed opinions on this.
