Alfred:
.....Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody!
I hope I rephrase it right.
Since 1970, I have been that Nobody, who Anybody thought, was Somebody, being bullied by Everybody.
Metrication for All - the keyword: BUT metrication that talks of length unit - Metre linked to Time unit. Or a mud hut in the middle of jungle.....seem solace for survival!

For Anybody to do it, Somebody needs to form a powerful lobbying group
to go to Capito Hill in DC meaning that lots of money will be involved
and it seems like Nobody has the cash or is willing to come up with it.

Dear All,

Does this story resonate with anyone in the metrication community?

Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody

This is a story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody,
and Nobody.

There was an important job to be done (metrication?)* and Everybody was
sure that Somebody would do it.

Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it. Somebody got angry about
that, because it was Everybody's job.

Everybody thought Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that
Everybody wouldn't do it.

It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody
could have done!
