The printers are all made for an international market -- and have been for many years. My HP LaserJet 4M+ can handle A4 (plus, I think, A5, B4 and B5) and my Xerox DocuPrint N32 can handle A3, A4, A5, B4 and B5. The former is more than 10 years old and the latter is about 8 or 9 years old.
All the paper I buy has shown grams per square meter for several years. I used to buy Weyerhaeuser and now buy HP. Both show the metric value second.
