Forbes magazine continues to move towards metric units of measure. A recent
article (28 March 2005, page 108) on "corn plastics" (plastics made from corn)
includes a chart comparing the total energy and material usage of corn plastics
versus plastics made from petroleum. The chart is 100% metric, with no
colloquial equivalents: megajoules for energy, kilograms for mass, etc.

The body of the article does use pounds in a couple of places ("100 million
pounds of polylactic acid per year"), but the 1/2 page graphic does not.

This is the third or forth time I've seen such metric-only stuff in the
magazine.
