I've called the airline number a number of times to ask them to include 
cm. I flew on ANA out of Dulles Saturday and the same sign at their 
counter was in centimeters only. One time my bag was overweight, they 
told me the weight in pounds and I asked what
that was in kilograms. Just trying to make a point that not everyone 
uses pounds or inches.
