Which brings to mind a question. How is giga properly pronounced in
English? As GIG-AH or as JIG-AH? In Back to the Future it was pronounce
like JIG-AH.
As GIG-AH is the only way I've ever heard it. I sincerely hope that American
society doesn't start distort it to JIG-AH. One would have to question what
the heck for? The "Back to the future" movie script may have been a one-off
though. I'm sure I've heard Americans pronounce the prefix giga as it should
be.
