When a company makes a change to its look or feel they sometimes send out a
survey.
I've had loads of these.
I suspect that they don't do a similar thing with imperial measures being
removed because despite most people still using them in day to day life they
feel that they "know what's best for us" on this one.
Of course the Tesco situation was different.

They used to show both imperial and metric but are now mainly metric (I
don't think they carried out a customer survey asking if they wanted
imperial removed).
When was the last time any company ask you how they should describe
products in their catalogues? Or more to the point how many companies do
you know of that decided to keep imperial on the basis of customer surveys?
