BWMA do not hate foreign units, because just about all of the Imperial units are from foreign countries. None of the main ones in use originated in the UK, although they may have been redefined in the UK during the 20th century to make them different to the original.

e.g. Mile came from ancient Rome, Fahrenheit from Germany, pint from France, etc.

With respect - the BWMA don't *hate* foreign units. They just want to see
parity, and to preserve imperial.
