Except for beer, which is, by law, sold in U.S. customary sizes. Stupid law!
 
By the way, 500 mL is preferable to 500 ml, although ml is permissible.

We don't use cubic centimetres for car engines, we use litres.  At one time the cubic inch was used for large engines and cubic centimetres for small.  Litres replaced cubic inches some 30 years ago.  My Buick Century has a V6 3.1 L engine.  I wouldn't know it any other way.
 
At least with litres, if you need to know cubic centimetres, you can move the decimal point 3 places to the right, so I have a 3100 cm³ engine.  What kind of engine does your car have in metric units?  If you don't know, look it up in your owners manual before responding.
