Why would there be a need to ban the pint? What is wrong with allowing a pub to sell other sizes? Is someone afraid they may start selling litres and if one does others may follow? Would you buy a litre of beer if a pub started offering it?

No I wouldn't.  A litre would get too warm by the time I've finished it.
Your example would have been better using half a litre - but I think that having a slightly smaller measure than a pint would make pricing it a bit difficult. But I'm not against a pub introducing them if he thinks there's a customer market for it.



Yes indeed, who did ask for it? Some people must have? It wasn't the birds and the bees. Where do you draw the line between those people who want it and those who don't and those who don't care? I'm part of the people so if I want it, shouldn't I get it?
