I was looking at Rowlett's dictionary of units of measurement (http://www.unc.edu/~rowlett/units/) and found the assay ton, which combines units from three different systems to make the smallest mass unit called a ton. It is 29+1/6 grams. It is defined as as many milligrams as there are troy ounces in an avoirdupois ton.
