Folks,

I just found a source within the U.S. of a 2 m folding ruler ("carpenter's 
ruler" is what I'm used to calling these) that has only metric indications. 
Yep. No inches or tootsies. It's superbly crafted, fiberglass, tightly 
jointed and --- best of all --- not terribly expensive except that the 
shipping for one is nearly the cost of the ruler. I paid a total of $16.93 
for it ($9.98 + S/H). The source is Wiha Tools at

and the part number is 61602. The order came from Minnesota.

This company sells a lot of metric tools, including setting selectable 
screwdriver-handle-style torque wrenches up to a 2 N·m to 8 N·m wrench (in 
0.25 N·m increments).
