Actually it's 453.59237 g

I show this so you can see how awkward the conversion is.

Aside from science - how is this going to affect domestic situations?
454g is fine for normal stuff

I think you underestimate the effort required to maintain dual prices. There is always the risk of mistakes in the conversion and I've seen plenty of examples where dual pricing is shown on some things but neglected in others

I bet the only complaints made are ones where customers ask why one of the units are dropped in certain cases. I bet that dual labelling is not a complaint issue - mind you, this is all hypothetical considering we don't have the stats.

bet that if you ask people who work in shops that many will tell you it's a damn nuisance.

I can't comment as I don't know anyone who works for a store.

The need can only be justified on a transitional basis. No one (not even politicians) deliberately engineered a situation where this halfway house would continue indefinitely.

I doubt the halfway house was engineered in that way so to a degree i agree with you. When welsh was reintroduced to signs in wales it was never the plan to do away with english altogether.

You're forgetting the road signs issue. ARM are *enforcing* the law *against* the display of metric. If you don't agree with this then maybe you should reconsider your support for both them and BWMA.

I hear where you are coming from on this one but I've always maintained (personally) that where safety is an issue common sence should prevail - otherwise give as much choice as possible.

I hate to say it - but I ain't gonna budge on that one - its the way I naturally 'feel'.
