Law in the US does not constrain the size of beer containers. Non-metric units are mandatory on the label, metric units are not mandatory. As I understand it. For example, Marstons brewery uses the same 500 ml bottles for their 'Pedigree' product in US and UK markets. US label: "500 ml 1 PT. 0.9 US FL. OZ" UK label: "500 ml"
