I still think the soundest and most unassailable
counter-argument to the BWMA, et al. is the realization that their efforts would
completely and utterly collapse the day the US government announced an
Australia-like metrification program. Period.
What they say is therefore pure puffery and
posturing with no substance (on the merits, I mean --- what they say may
certainly have some propaganda influence, but that's another
matter).
