This morning's Headline News segment on the giant squid found by the
Japanese was reported (surprisingly) in metric first and followed by
USC equivalents. The lengths of the squid and its tentacles were
given in meters, as well as the depth at which it has been found.
Is this unusual for CNN or do they have a habit of reporting scientific
or foreign news in metric?
