That's quite interesting.  Putting aside "which unit is better/worse" 
hairdressers in the UK talk in terms of inch hair-length - particularly when 
cutting hair.  I know this from a 24yr old trained stylist.

No, there's someone in France who does too. Avoura, who's in England, 
admitted
on another thread to not knowing what an inch is. What she'll do if her 
hair
grows longer than a metre, I don't know (there are only five characters
