Interesting, but why post on the USMA
list? It's Australia...of course they'll use metric.

Super Cheap Auto Racing have topped the
timesheets for the first time this weekend,
after lead driver and four-time Bathurst winner
Greg Murphy set the fastest lap in the final practice session.
Greg Murphy was quickest in the final
practice session
Greg Murphy, at the wheel of the #51 VZ
Commodore, set a fastest lap of 2:07.8277s.
Murphy is this weekend aiming for his third
successive Bathurst win, and will be have the
services of Paul Weel as his co-driver. Super
Cheap Auto Racing have struggled with mechanical
and engine reliability over the past few rounds,
however their results this weekend seem to show
that the Dandenong squad have ironed out the creases in the race machines.
Caltex Racing has made a brilliant recovery
after a shunt in practice on Friday, to be well
placed to secure a strong result this weekend.
Notorious for poor qualifying results, Russell
Ingall yesterday put his Caltex BA Falcon in the
Top Ten Shootout and backed it up in todays
final practice session by setting the second
fastest lap time, and the fastest time through sector one.
Rick Kelly also fared well after suffering a
virus earlier in the week. The youngest Bathurst
1000 winner had no car time yesterday and set a
competitive lap of 2:08.1305s to finish practice
in third position. He and Garth Tander will make
an appearance in the shootout with Tander expected to qualify the car.
Steven Richards clocked the fourth fastest lap
in his Castrol Team Perkins Racing Commodore.
Richards this weekend broke the 300 km/h barrier
in his Holden and along with Paul Dumbrell, are
looking to be one of the most consistent cars in the field.
Marcos Ambrose was fifth in the Pirtek Racing
Falcon. He and teammate Warren Luff will hope to
extend Stone Brothers Racings championship lead
this weekend, whilst aiming to be competitive in
the 1000 kilometre race on Sunday. Luff will
compete in the HPDC race later today in an
effort to gain more valuable kilometres around Mount Panorama.
After being the quickest car around Mount
Panorama for a number of days, the #888 Team
Betta Electrical Ford finished final practice in
sixth place, around about seventh tenths off the
pace of Murphy. Jason Bright continued the
stable run of Ford Performance Racing this
weekend by finishing the session seventh in the Caterpillar Ford.
Todd Kelly was eighth in the lead Holden Racing
Team Commodore, whilst Jason Richards in the
Dodo Commodore and Greg Ritter in the Ford
Credit/FPV Falcon rounded out the top ten.
Both Westpoint Racing Fords lay just outside the
top ten in eleventh and twelfth Glenn Seton
will line up to qualify his in this afternoons
Top Ten Shootout. WPS Racings Craig Baird and
David Besnard continue to post improved times in
the tope twenty, whilst the Team BOC, Repco
Valvoline Cummins Team and WOW Sight and Sound
cars continue to struggle to match the front runners.
Todays continued V8 action includes the final
HPDC V8 Supercar Series race, and the
all-important main game shootout for Sundays one-thousand kilometre race.
