Dropping a day at 128-years instead of *dropping at 100/400/4000-years*
improve the calendar accuracy to give Mean Year = 365.2421875 days, in my
128-year cycle; OR 7*128 =896-yaers (if one were to use Leap Weeks scheme
(896-yr/159 LWks). It is a matter for giving way to incoming thoughts.
Today is World Metric Day (October 10th),
in the proposed Metric Decaday - to promote ADOPT the Si-Metric Way during
*the day after October 04 thro October 14 - when the Pappal Bull of 1582*
correxcted the Gregorian calendar.

Thanks for your post! Whether you've been lurking for
a while, or just joined, either way, it's a good idea
to just jump in and get wet. Active learning works
better than passive, in my experience.
Rules that attempt to create additional 'accuracy' by
adding/dropping days at periods like 4000 years are
adding refinements to the mathematical model for a
calendar that do not correspond to reality.
Discussions on this list before have covered the basic
reason, which is the fact that our model for the
rotation of the Earth simply does not permit accuracy
of one day much past about 2500 years.

A reality check for computer-generated results is
always good. Unlike 99% of the population, you seem to
understand that information is not necessarily correct
just because it comes from a machine. If you can read
code, you can understand the software.
