This comes from the metricmartyr boards.
Although he spells it "Davis", he used to mention that he liked it spelled
"Davies" (by me) back then.
Something to do with Welsh ancestory (and that I'm Welsh).
We used to have quite a laugh about it.

And I should add that adding an "e" to Davis might also be rather
confusing. Are we talking about the same person? Someone mentioned a "Steve
Davies" on another forum, but that is not the same as "Steve Davis".
We should at least have the courtesy to spell each others' names correctly,
even when we disagree with them.
