No. "Molar" isn't the SI name of the unit, so "M" isn't its SI symbol. It's 
called a notation, not a symbol, in the table in [[concentration]]. Molal and 
moline (the latter of which I never heard of before) are both mol/kg, but 
they are different. The notation for "molal" is "m", which couldn't be its SI 
symbol because it means "meter".
