This was sent by mistake. Outbox discharged itself inappropriately. The real letter and attachment will follow soon. My apologies.

I sent you a way how to speed up the typing of metric symbols. make sure that the way you "Autocorrect" the printing complies with the rules for writing.
For your convenience, I am attaching the rules. It is a digest of the NIST/ISO rules with a few of needed hints.

I am attaching a PDF version of Stan's file.

FWIW -- not everyone uses Microsoft Word, and files that are not intended to be edited are better sent in PDF format than in DOC format. The PDF format is more universal, retains formatting features better, cannot carry viruses (which DOC files can), etc.

If you don't want to spring for Adobe Acrobat (7.0 Standard runs about $90), you can get a free PDF printer driver from www.pdf995.com.

On the other hand, Acrobat lets you do nice things like combine PDF pages from different programs (e.g., Word, Excel and AutoCAD pages in one PDF), add annotations, make forms users can fill out with Acrobat Reader, etc.
