Fraser, Gregory Peterson & friends:
Half the 'Metrication' battle would automatically won if US adopts the
international SI-spellings for 'Litre & Metre'. Teaching to new generations
shall automatically follow.

To USMA list members,
I wish to share with you an email that Greg Peterson, a Canadian who
resides in Saskatchewan, sent to the feedback address of Universe Today's
book "What's Up 2006--365 Days of Skywatching".
Greg was pleasantly surprised at NASA's exclusive use of metric terms in
the piece.

Hi Greg, thanks for your feedback. We'll definitely have more metric
support for the book in the future, maybe even another revision this
year.

I just had a chance to look at Universe Today's book What's Up 2006 -
365 Days of Skywatching. The first thing that jumped out at me is that
there isn't a single metric unit used. NASA has tried hard to convert
their operations to metric and, like all other fields of science,
metric is the standard system of measurement. Not only that but all
other countries outside of the United States use and are familiar with
metric in everyday life.
In 2007 could you please include metric units of measurement for the
science community and all of us who live outside of the United States.
Sincerely,
Gregory Peterson
