There has only been one response to my editorial that ran in the San Francisco Chronicle, and it is a REALLY positive one.
It reads:
3 meters and a cloud ...Editor -- Regarding the metric system (Letters, Feb. 5): A few weeks ago, while on my daily walk around my neighborhood, I saw a couple of boys about 10 or 11 years old tossing a football back and forth. As I passed them I heard one say to the other, "Run straight out about 10 meters, then turn right and I'll hit you with a short pass."So there's hope.RICHARD A. KENDRICK
