Your statement implies that both the CIPM (and because of my endorsement of
it's position) and I are bigoted. This has warn out my patience with you.
For this reason, posts originating from you will no longer be read.

That is something that needs to be aired in a court of law. Not an Internet
List.

I have no intention of engaging in private correspondence with you. As far
as I am concerned, you have insulted everyone on this list with unproven
accusations and now, cries of "bigotry" when things did not go your way.

Linda:
Converting to a system of 'metric time' is not practical. The CIPM itself
acknowledges this by it's >authorizing the use of the non-SI units of
"minute" and "hour" for *permanent* use with the SI.
It is unfortunate, I am NO expert on 'computer langauage' but have my
documentation that demonstrate the possibility. Your views lead me to
conclude the position of CIPM as NOT reconciled to view a 'New Line of
thought' - just becuase these happen to be from an underprivileged man from
India - with an open mind. Some members on the list have attempted to
'infringe upon my copyrights'. I am now trying to bring my documents,on a
personal page, for viewing at:

Apparently my recent posts on time has lead to some misunderstanding.
Please allow me to clarify my position here.
Converting to a system of 'metric time' is not practical. The CIPM itself
acknowledges this by it's authorizing the use of the non-SI units of
"minute" and "hour" for *permanent* use with the SI.
My recent post about the value 20 kiloseconds in conventional time, was to
disprove the conjecture that it would be like measuring the distance
between two cities in millimeters via SI numerology rules.
It is ***not*** an endorsement of any 'metric time system'.

Linda, Marion, Bill & friends:
Discussion on time is being brought in 'once again' at USMA list.
Clock and calendar time are very deeply imbedded in our world-wide
culture. I
see no particular advantage in "forcing" SI into those areas. Can you tell
me
how much time is passed if I say the travel time from LA to SF is about 20
ks?
5.55..56 hrs (decimal). Please visit:
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/genesis.revealed/Brij.d-sec.doc
for a definition of the *decimal second*.

Don't misunderstand me. I understand SI reasonably well. I was one of the
major supporters in my company in the mid-70s when it seemed that the US
was
going to make the conversion. I was on my company's team to define the
issues
and impact on my particular engineering group.

Kiloseconds are pure SI. You don't understand SI?
I'm surprised.
