Speaking of gloomy stuff (like Reagan's stuff), on the webcast this morning (in California) of the total solar eclipse from Turkey a group of students was filmed doing a chart of the falling temperature as the moon's shadow approached.   The leader of the student group (an adult) related the data to the announcer in degrees F.  This from a group of Turkish students.  Maybe it was because the temp only dropped about 5-6 deg C and they wanted more detail.   HARRY WYETH
