Although doctors and nurses frequently quote fahrenheit to patients when 
describing their "high temperature" in hospitals etc.

Fortunately the UK has enacted an EU directive which catalogues the units 
of
measure that may be used for "Commercial, Public Safety, Public Health and
Public Administration purposes".  Although the mile, yard, foot, inch and
pint may be used under certain circumstances, the teaspoon does not appear
in the catalogue, nor does degrees Fahrenheit.
