I went to the doctor today. One of the things I asked him about was my
numerical obesity. I wrote my mass and height on the form in metric. He asked
what they are in non-metric. Instead of converting them (and as he does
Chinese medicine, for all I know he may have wanted them in Chinese units), I
told him that 81 divided by 1.5 squared is 36, which is my BMI.
