I caught the tail end of the CBC World news program tonight on cable (I've been living temporarily somewhere near Seattle until I move into my new place on July 2) and was delighted to see the "Weather Centre" segment. All temperatures in degrees Celsius (but they never mentioned the units, just the numerical value, which I interpret as an even higher comfort level with Celsius).   Interestingly enough, the "weather woman" was obviously Australian (or perhaps from New Zealand ... I'm not that good at telling them apart) and probably in her late twenties to early thirties. In either case, I guess we know she was quite comfortable using SI!   Now, I can just dream of seeing the same some day on US television ...   Ezra
