Laser and inkjet printers are usually made with 300 dots per inch (11.811 dots
per millimeter) or some multiple thereof. Plotters have been made as long as
I remember (and I think it was before inkjet printers appeared) with a step
of 25 µm (1016 dots per inch). Can someone persuade the printer makers to
switch to the standard the plotters have been using?
