Two spelling considerations:

1. "How do you think the European ban of non-metric units will effect [sic]
your constituents"
The correct word here is "affect".
"effect" as a verb - to bring about
"affect" as a verb - to cause a change to occur

2. "uncompetative" [sic] - correct spelling is "uncompetitive" (several places)

Paul,

Thanks for putting this together and please let us know how it goes. I'm
particularly interested to see how many politicians respond with an opinion of
outright ban on useing the metric system in the US. I know I for one hope they
check the metric only options and the five year timeline or less.

Hi Paul,

May I suggest that in Question 1 you add the option "My constituents do not
mind which system is in use".

What I have observed in the UK is that a significant proportion of the
population do not really care one way or the other. If they get told that a
change-over is happening, they will shrug their shoulders, maybe complain
for a few days about having two systems in place and as long as the
Government can convince them that nobody is making a fast buck on the side a
their expense, accept it. Of course, a change-over gives journalists lots
to write about and the fact that it is taking so long has given the
journalists lots of ammunition. I suspect that things are the same in the
US.

Regards

Martin
